Why does it keep getting painted white? It’s a giant canvas, of course it will keep getting tagged! The best way to deter art you don’t want is to commision the art you do want-plenty of muralists looking for walls in this town!
I totally agree with Linsey. I walk through there regularly and would love to see some form of artistic expression. Graffiti is art. I would suggest that the Hula campus put some resources in creating a creative path to their facility and not just on their facility. Love what they’ve done, now bring that energy to their surroundings.
Hello all, based on experience murals still get tagged, look at the side of Pearl Street Beverage on Union or the one on Pearl and Winooski, same goes for murals on Pine street, the new one and the one that has been there for 10 years. It’s not a matter of what’s on the wall, the taggers will still spray paint it. Of course a mural would be great on that wall, and would be something the city will look into, however for now the wall will be painted gray to remove the graffiti.
