Description
Today my son was almost run over for the third time walking home from school at the intersection of Home Ave and Shelburne Rd. The current traffic volumes, speeding and road rage of drivers on Pine St and Home Ave is so bad and has been handled so poorly by the city that we feel like there is no governance where traffic conditions are concerned. Why is DPW ignoring what is going on in regards to traffic on Home Ave. and Pine St.? Why are we left to fend for ourselves? When someone is badly injured there will be no question as to whom is to blame. Please do something to reduce traffic volumes, speed and truck traffic on these streets. You know there is a problem, yet nothing is done. Why?

Hello Gil. Our staff works tirelessly on these issues. You and I have spoken on the phone a few times and traded an email or two about See Click Fix. All of these repeated comments are not helpful or conducive to us in getting work done or to the community who uses this forum very productively. I've encouraged you to use this platform for it's intended purpose: maintenance requests and comments to aid in that process. You are also welcome to call us as you've done in the past (802-863-9094). Please ask for the Director.
If you wish to engage in ongoing dialogue, any of our social media platforms, our numerous public meetings, sending email concerns or calling us are very helpful. You should also write your Councilor if you have concerns you wish to express. Please help us keep see click fix focused on making and addressing maintenance concerns.
