Our staff and contractor personnel have been working through the spring, summer and fall to improve both overall condition in this facility and the customer experience. In addition to essential but relatively invisible work such as concrete repairs and testing of reinforcing materials we have also put in place a city wide wayfinding color scheme and entrance improvements at Bank Street and Cherry. In regards to the specific photo provided with this issue we are in the midst of a repainting effort for the railings and walls in the main stairwell being done in conjunction with our ongoing cab replacements and window washing for the elevator hoist-way. Currently one car has been fully replaced, with the second cab being replaced over the upcoming two weeks in order to be in place for the height of the holiday season. -

I meant to write about the ongoing effort to tidy up the parking lot. I have noticed improvements to the "road", some paint here and there along with the current work in the elevators. It is what it is. This building is long overdue a lot of TLC I am glad to see the City moving in the right direction. I am sure we can all agree that this is an ongoing project and it will take a long time to get where we can be proud of our downtown's gateways (an euphemism I just coined for parking lots). Keep it up.
