Graffiti on private property Archived142 Church St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington ElectricSeveral layers of vandalism on 142 Church -- the very large graffiti is the most recent. One of multiple issues of vandalism on Marketplace buildings. More than covering (temporarily) with paint and rollers, this is a concern of civic pride (that has diminished).

Trash or Illegal Dumping Archived145 S Union St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricThis was just reported again a few hours ago (thank you Jeff Nick) — this litter and defacement at our Memorial Auditorium exterior was reported and acknowledged and then reported by city officials to Burlington Permitting & Inspections and to Burlington Parks on 06/29/22 as it is on public land had been reported and acknowledged previously on 06/28/22. It is now ELEVEN DAYS since the original report — is there a reason this is reported but cannot be addressed?
In a June downtown report at Wards 2 & 3 NPA, Rob Goulding, Department of Public Works, stated that “DPW has an active presence in downtown, funding dictates projects, always a resource struggle; there is a 20 person street maintenance team (trash, snow, recycling, storm drains, sidewalks, patch paving, etc.) and staff members walk downtown core everyday to manage trash on thoroughfares.”

Graffiti Acknowledged142 Church St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricTags continue to be added on North wall of 142 Church Street by vandals who are trespassing on adjoining properties by climbing across rooftops to paint this garbage. This is directly across from City Hall and BCA. Trespassing and danger to the "artists."

Sidewalk Choke Points Church Street Acknowledged120 Church Street Burlington, Vermont - Burlington ElectricThis issue was addressed once last August 2017 by CSM. This summer there are notable choke points at 120 and 148 Church Street that do not observe the nine foot clearance. It should be noted that at these two locations the permanent black markings on the bricks only indicate a SEVEN foot clearance, not nine feet and these businesses normally set their tables well outside these markings leaving only about a 4.5 foot right-of-way.
