I really appreciate the skill of the sidewalk plow drivers. Unfortunately, though, a couple of winters ago a plow driver hit a frost heave and peeled up a big chunk of sidewalk. The sidewalk was repaired last summer, but that chunk of concrete is still on our lawn . Could it be removed please? Thanks.

At intersection of South Prospect and Main, I was travelling north and had a green arrow for a right turn. I started to turn right, but someone travelling west on Main was taking a left turn, and cut the corner so far to the left, that he almost ran head-on into me, as I was turning right.

Those drivers turning left from Main to South Prospect must go way way to the right, across two lanes to the single southbound lane on the right. He may not have realized that we (northbound) had a green light for a right turn, and so just cut in front of the two northbound lanes.

Seriously, this was almost a head-on collision with both of us accelerating. I use this route a lot, and this happens as lot of the time. Especially when it's dark out.

PLEASE, when you repaint the lane markings -- put in a dotted line showing the path that must be taken turning LEFT onto South Prospect from Main. Give the northbound people turning left (to become east-bound) plenty of room to make our turn.

If you draw a picture of what I describe, you'll understand what I mean.

Thanks for your service to our community!

Not sure whose jurisdiction this is, but the bus shelter in front of Fletcher Free Library is littered with trash, empty beer cans and bottles, cig butts. With the weather as bad as it is, it would be usable by people waiting for the bus.
Thanks for forwarding this to appropriate party, and thanks, City Employees, for working hard to make Burlington livable! Much appreciated.

Still waiting on pedestrian-activated signal at foot of pathway to UVMMC from East Ave, at Bilodeau Ct. In the past, we were told location not eligible for funding because there aren't sidewalks on both side of East Ave. However, there are now two pedestrian-activated signals on Spear St, with no sidewalk on the east side of Spear.
Is there another reason why this request has been held up? Residents have provided ample examples of problems, including injuries to pedestrians. Nighttime drivers still don't stop unless we walk into the street and wave down the cars, hoping they stop.
So what can now be the excuse for not putting this intersection on the list for a pedestrian activated signal? Thanks.

Street light on west side, corner Bilodeau Ct and East Avenue is strobing/flickering. Likely to go out any time, and is lighting for crosswalk. Very important!
Also, the strobing/flickering makes seeing at night difficult for old eyes, when driving.
    Thanks.

Now that "goat path" from University Rd/East Ave up to hospital has been permanently closed, and people are being referred to the Bilodeau Ct path to hospital, it's more important than ever to get a pedestrian-activated blinking light at this location. I know it apparently doesn't "qualify" under state rules, but has City tried to get a waiver? This is a critical pedestrian crossing, and will be forever with closure of goat path. (I will post this also under Trans/Pkng Improvement Req category.) I would even help write the waiver request!

Pedestrian Crossing sign at top of Bilodeau Ct hit by car and won't stand any more. Has been pulled to side of road. Must be repaired/replaced, please.
