The timing of lights for this intersection is significantly longer than it was in the past. Saint Paul St green phase is extremely long. I have seen a driver in front of me loose patience and turn his car left on red, from Howard going east. This should be reviewed.

Massive water discharge from building 376 turns bike lane into ice rink for hundreds of feet. Dangerous inch-thick ice

I commute daily along South Winooski bike paths. The plowing was always first rate until it suddenly stopped last year. It looks like this year will be no better judging from today’s conditions. Sidewalk plows won’t cut it, it is all frozen. The fact that it looks like this after two consecutive parking bans is shameful for the city’s efforts to be bike friendly.

The motorcycle in the back, East side, is trapped As can be seen in the photo. It would be much better to have diagonal lines facing North-West which would allow four bikes to get in and out. The unused space to the West would easily and reliably allow access. As it is right now more than two bikes and you are rolling the dice on who gets blocked.

Time to repaint the southbound Winooski bike lane markings which have eroded completely in parts. Please don’t forget the section in front of Elm Street this year as it was completely omitted last year for some unknown reason.

Drainage company left mud on street and sidewalk. It doesn’t look like they are coming back so maybe the city could be so kind to clean it.

Futon has been there a week.
  • 203 S Winooski Ave Burlington 05401, United States - Burlington Electric
Both the parking lane and the southbound bike path between King and Adams were omitted or forgotten during the parking ban. This is for the western side of Winooski. This area was very clearly not touched during the operation clean sweep. Hard to do now with cars parked there almost all of the time, but at least the bike lane could be taken care of. Thanks
  • 322 S Winooski Ave Burlington 05401, United States - Burlington Electric
Bike lane northbound was swept during parking ban but is still covered by a thin layer of sand throughout. Sweeping would be much appreciated between Adams and Howard. This is for the far eastern side of street which is the northbound bike lane. Thank you.

Curb has been missing for years, sending stormwater into adjacent properties. Now there are also leaves and garbage from the street sweeping in the green belt.

Only one stop sign on far right, Bank St heading West, crossing St Paul. The stop sign may be hidden behind trucks parked for loading. There should be a stop sign on the left side of the street as well. I just had an out of town SUV blow through the crossing as I was turning left from St Paul on bicycle. In his/her defense the truck parked in front of the Farmhouse restaurant completely obscured the sole stop sign. That’s a poor design.

Wanted to send a big thank you and shout-out to the city for cleaning the bike lanes on both sides of South Winooski for the second time this week, and each time right away after the snowfall!
After so many complaints from us bikers this winter I just wanted to acknowledge the positive change observed.
Thank you, this is much appreciated!

Northbound bike lane is reduced to foot-wide section. Bikes are forced to drive on double yellow against traffic.
Note: Sending a sidewalk plow down the bike lane at this stage is way too late and will achieve very little, because of the amount of snow and ice. This needs a big plow and should have been addressed during the parking ban(s).

Edit: This should say 386 S Winooski, not 369. Sorry about this! This is approximate, I don't know the source of the water, but it is clearly originating from the hill side properties of the street.

Large amounts of ice on sidewalk (previously reported by another user) as well as on northbound bike lane, extending from this property towards the north. There is year round water discharge into the street and sidewalk from one of the driveways at or near #389. This is especially dangerous in the winter due to black ice often exceeding the width of the bike lane and extending all the way to Spruce St.

North bound bike lane not plowed. Dangerous because it forces bicycles into incoming south bound traffic.
