Please return the trashcans to this location. People are just littering their dog poop bags and other trash in the spots the trashcans normally are.

Please return the trashcans so these people have an easy better option than to litter.

    Thank you for your work.

  • North Ave & Shore Rd Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric

    Hello,

The automated detection at the Shore Rd intersection is not seeing people on bikes.

This light normally can detect people on bikes and trigger the signals, but has stopped working correctly.

Please address this issue to ensure that the signal will detect people on bikes and work correctly.

This is an important intersection for people on bikes as it is the safest location to cross North Ave in this area. Please help make this light function correctly and see people on bikes waiting at the light.

  • 107-107 Lakeside Ave Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric

The pavement here is incredibly unsafe for people on bikes.

This is a major corridor for people accessing their homes, work, and bike path.

At present, it is unusable for anyone outside of a car.

    Please fix asap.

  • 270 Pine St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric

The pavement on this stretch of Pine street is unsafe for people on bikes.

  • 1-9 Maple St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric

Corner of Perkins pier parking lot full of littered alcohol containers and other trash.

    Thanks for your work.

  • Ethan Allen Pkwy & Farrington Pkwy Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric

    Hello,

During school pick-up times, the line of parents parking obstructs the view of anyone trying to safely navigate the intersection at Farrington PKWY and Ethan Allen Pkwy.

The parents will park right up to the intersection and their vehicles obstruct the view of anyone at the intersection.

Please reevaluate the parking allowances on Ethan Allen Parkway.

The excess of people parking and circling the block looking for parking in this area creates dangerous situations for anyone outside of a car or using that intersection.

    Thank you for your time,
    Brad

  • Shore Rd Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric

    Hello,

The "speed bumps" that proceed the bike path crossing are worn and crumbled and no longer function to slow people in cars.

People in cars regularly speed through the trail crossing without any extra caution.

Please rebuild the current speed bumps to be more effective at their purpose.

  • N Champlain St & North St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric

    Hello,

My name is Brad. I commute to work/shopping/recreation by bicycle, and have noticed that the traffic lights on North Street do not recognize people on bikes.

As such, the lights are never triggered to change when I am waiting.

This road is designated for bikes with "sharrows' and as such should be accommodating to people on bikes.

Please make changes necessary to enable the traffic lights to sense people on bikes and trigger the light cycles accordingly.

Thank you for your time and work,
    Brad

  • 1-223 Flynn Ave Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric

    Hello,

My name is Brad. I am a citizen of Burlington who commutes to work/recreation/shopping by bicycle.

I use this corridor on Flynn Ave daily to go to work.

The condition of the pavement on this road has degraded to the point that it is unsafe.

There are large potholes and long cracks that threaten serious injury to people on bikes. Coupled with the people in cars who regularly speed and fail to yield adequate space, the person on the bike is forced to ride precariously close to these dangerous cracks and potholes.

The pavement around the track crossing is similarly degraded and poses serious risk to people on bikes.

This needs to be addressed for the health and safety of all road users. The commercial trucks and passenger vehicles have damaged this road beyond an acceptable level and repairs need to be made.

Please make plans to repair this road.

    Thank you,
    Brad

  • North Ave & Shore Rd Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric

    Hello,

My name is Brad, and I cross this this intersection daily from Shore Ave and Heineberg.

The sensors are not recognizing me and triggering a signal change.

Please address this so that I can be seen by the signal and cross this intersection safely.

    Thank you,

    Brad

  • Old North End Burlington, VT, USA - Burlington Electric

I understand this is a sensitive issue, but would you please consider placing a dumpster or trash cans by the encampments in this area and regularly emptying them.

The people that live there currently have no place to put their trash and are piling it along the access road.

If you could please help these people and the community by providing a basic trash pickup service at these encampments it would greatly improve quality of life there.

Please arrange for the trash to be picked up.

Thank you for your work and consideration,

    Brad

  • 24-98 Lavalley Ln Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
There is a significant amount of litter strewn about in this area. I would very much appreciate if you helped to pick it up.
  • 2-78 Heineberg Rd Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric

    Hello,

My name is Brad Wiltfong. I am a citizen of Burlington who commutes to work, shopping, and recreation by bike.

The traffic light at Heineberg Rd to cross North Ave does not sense people on bikes and will never change the lights so they can safely cross.

This is the safest crossing of North Ave and serves to connect the i127 bike path with the Burlington bike path. It is critical that this crossing is safe and functional for people on bikes.

Please fix the Heineberg signal so that it will sense people on bikes and control the intersection so people on bikes can safely cross.

    Thank you for your time,
    Brad

1-49 S Winooski Ave Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric

Please put a trashcan at the bus stop.

This is a heavily used stop, and there is currently no trash can and people are littering instead.

Please also consider a bench for this location aswell.

There will be less litter if there is a trashcan at this location.

Thank you for your time and work,
    Brad

  • 107 Farrington Pkwy Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric

    Hello,

I am a citizen of Burlington who regularly bikes through this area of the NNE to commute to work, shopping, and recreation.

Currently, there is an excess of cars parked on both sides of the street that narrows the lane to such a degree that it feels unsafe. People in oncoming cars will very often fail to yield to people on bikes before passing way too close.

The amount of space the private vehicles are taking up on the public roadway is a nuisance and increases the risk of injury to vulnerable road users.

Please consider limiting street parking to only one side of the street here.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

  • Monroe St & Park St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric

    Hello,

My name is Brad. I regularly see people in cars disregard anyone waiting for the crosswalk at this location. This is dangerous and inappropriate.

In addition to not stopping for pedestrians, people in cars regularly speed and abruptly change lanes through this section of road.

I would ask that you implement traffic calming measures and a lighted crosswalk signal to make this area safer and more pleasant for people who are walking or riding bikes.

    Thank you for your time,
    Brad

  • North Ave & Woodbury Rd Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric

    Hello,

My name is Brad Wiltfong. I am a citizen of Burlington who regularly bikes through this intersection.

At present, it is very unclear if the traffic signal is activated by people on bicycles. It appears there is a pressure plate and those can be notoriously unfavorable to people on bikes.

Can you please improve this intersection and upgrade to an electric eye that will sense people on bikes?

This is presently the safest intersection to cross North Ave when heading to the bike trail that I use for daily commute to work/shopping/recreation in downtown.

The cross walk is insufficient as a means for people on bikes to cross this road as people in cars will not be looking for bicyclists crossing via crosswalk and entering the travel lane.

Please improve this intersection with an electric eye or please correct me if the pressure plate senses people on bikes and will adjust the traffic light accordingly.

    Thank you for your time,
    Brad
