100% agree. Traffic control around construction projects in Burlington this summer has been mayhem and incompetent at best... I'd say I'd be surprised if no one has been injured... but I watched a traffic flagger pretend to have been hit by a car that he purposely misdirected. Some of the contractors working on these projects are in it for the insurance scams.

Literally watched a traffic flagger lay down and start yelling, pretending his foot was run over, when a car he directed drove 3 ft around him.. I was travelling in the opposite direction and saw the whole thing. wtf is going on??

And some of them are pulling down over $15,000 a year for just standing around in the middle of the road amidst the construction equipment and all those accommodating drivers they get to boss around. And if it’s not too dusty, they can get a great tan as part of their benefit package. In addition, most get all winter off!
