Sidewalk was swept by contractor this week.

Per Technical Services -As part of the paving for the street, DPW has added a catch basin above the driveways to address some of the stormwater issues that were created by reconstructing the sidewalk to be ADA compliant. In addition during paving we will be regrading the road to address where the street is higher than a driveway to minimize the stormwater that leaves the road.

Work for paving the street is anticipated for later this week as weather allows.

Is this new catch basin optimally-positioned to be collecting storm water? Water flowing down from South Union, Upper Howard, and St. Paul Streets seems to be flowing beside and beyond it, without being caught in the new drain.
