Both EB indications were seen to be working from University Place on a bright sunny day. The farther WB signal, only visible from a shorter distance, was also visible. The EB indications both showed some minor edge flickering, but there were no significant portions of the indication out. When or if these indications get to losing say one third or half of their light output area, they become a maintenance issue and will be replaced. As they stand now, they are not perfect, but they still clearly convey a green indication. A future capital improvement project will be to replace all signals and LEDs on upper Main Street as it approaches being 20 years old. This is not specifically planned for yet though it is desirable as we get more and more failures. The Department of Public Works has resolved this request.
