  This circumstance illustrates that is has become increasingly difficult to hold any pride in our downtown. Of course it is our "gateway" area and deserves to be maintained at the fullest. Our City Hall building seems to be central to an area of disarray and graffiti. There is no reason to lose focus on the quality of all the neighborhoods in our city but the inattention to this area - for its residents, and all the visitors who pass through it daily, is not healthy.

  Local skid row. Organized crime members weave through here dealing drugs openly to the locals. The proliferation of degeneracy is big NON-profit business. This is what Hawardcenter and our other local misery conglomerates want. And the politicians who benefit (Hinsdale, Mcgee) help push it along. Its all part of the “I Care A lot” miss Hanigan grit. More problems = more tax dollars. The GOAL is to make things worse (defund the police). Its a profit model based on peddling human misery.
